Ajo Ajo Shrimp with Broccoli


Here is the quick and easy recipe for last night's dinner:

Ingredients
1 pound small shrimps
1 bunch of broccoli (use florets only)
10 garlic cloves (minced)
1/4 cup roughly chopped scallions
1 teaspoon of adobo
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:
Place olive oil and butter on the saute pan. When the oil and butter are hot, add the garlic and scallions; stir for about 1 minute. Place the broccoli florets in the pan and close the lid; let it steam for about 3 minutes, or until bright green/crunchy. Then add the shrimps and spices (salt, pepper, adobo). Let the shrimps sit in the pan for about 4-6; occasionally stirring. Now it is ready to serve.

Since it's kind of difficult to have anything in the espaƱol culture without rice and beans, Jon (my loving and caring boyfriend) was making white rice and black beans while I cooked the shrimp and broccoli. Here's the final product....
